Let’s face it, the iPhone is awesome and it will only continue to get MORE awesome. Now I’m no tech blogger by any means, but I thought I would share my top 5 favorite iPhone apps that I use on mine:
- Hootsuite – this is a social media app that allows you to easily manage your social media accounts. I use it for my Facebook & Twitter as well as our church’s Facebook & Twitter. My favorite part about this app is that just like on Hootsuite’s website, you can schedule updates to launch at a later date & time. Easy to use, always updating to make it better, and a cheap app ($1.99). [I use the full version of the app which is temporarily not available in the U.S., but you can download the lite version for free]
- ShakeIt Photo – this is an incredible camera app that produces amazing pictures straight from your phone with no Photoshop needed. See below for yesterday’s post in which I blogged a picture from my iPhone (the shoe shot). ($0.99)
- ESV Bible – Since college I have been pretty faithful to the English Standard Version of the scriptures. I love this translation. Extremely accurate and easy to understand. I often read from the ESV right on my phone for FREE. (FREE)
- Shazam – Not only is this app fun to say, it’s fun to use! This app was one of the first featured in the iPhone commercials. I use this app to get the title, name of artist, & name of album of a song that I might hear in a store, public place, or the radio. It takes about 10 seconds and it will give me all the information I need AND give me a link to buy the song on iTunes. Love, love, love this app! (FREE)
- Remote – A new iPhone owner showed me this one about a month ago. This app allows you to wirelessly control your iTunes on your computer from your iPhone. All that is required is that you are on the same network. I use this app often in band rehearsals with my laptop back at Front of House and me on stage. (FREE)
That’s my current top 5, but it changes all the time. I love to find our about new apps. What are your favorites? Leave me a comment with a couple of them!
